‘Musica e/o teatro’ with Rata Kloppenburg

In this 4-days workshop Rata Kloppenburg will make you acquainted with music and/or theatre. Starting point is what the participants want to learn. From Tuesday till Friday, inspired by the splendid ambiance, we will make a unique performance for a self chosen public.
Our production will be decisive for the moment at whichthe perfomance will take place, the afternoon, twilight or perhaps at the crack of dawn…

Which sounds we like to hear or make in the ‘grotta’? Which characters fit in the swimmingpool? What kind of dialogues take place in the vegetable garden? Who are the creatures coming down from the hill? Which sounds blend with the ‘hoophoop’of the bird, called ‘hop’in Dutch and with the quack of the frogs?

In the seventh heaven you hear sounds different from what you hear at home or on stage of the school of music. The seventh heaven with its Etruscan traces incites other senses and temperaments than your daily ambiance or even a theatre at home.

This workshop fits for everyone who wants (to learn) to use his voice or who plays an instrument or loves to play theatre or wants (to learn) to write texts and is curious to experience how such special and specific ambiance as the seventh heaven is, affects these forms of art.

Rata Kloppenburg is director of small-scale music theatre, playing musician and teacher in performance.
