Painting With Janet Timmerije

This course has to be an adventure, a kind of discovery tour in which you discover the mixing of colors as well as the design of a painting.
There is not only one way of painting. Faults do not exist.
The trick is discovering your own style, `handwriting` and way of working.

Therefore it is important to make yourself free to experiment. The intention is everyone making her/his own work. I’m there to help you finding ideas to get you started. It is very important to have some guts and I surely will urge you to dare and to do.
The subject is free; feel free to bring materials to inspire you. But, do not forget the beauty of the wonderful surroundings. They will surely contribute to your ideas for a painting.

You work with acrylic on canvas. We will take care of the basic requisites as there are easels, boards, paper, charcoal, East Indian ink, a basic set of paintbrushes, acrylic in the basic colors red, yellow, green, black, white, celestial blue and ultramarine. Would you like to use more and/or other materials, you will have to bring them with you.

At the end of the course we will organize an exhibition/presentation and a review of the produced works.
