Sculpturing with Maarten Thijssen

A more beautiful spot to get a sculpture course is difficult to think of surrounded by the enormous natural and cultural richness of Italy working on your own sculpture must come from (the seventh) heaven!

Taking as starting point something touchy, inspiring or fascinating, your sculpture will get substantial and personal surplus value.
You will shape a piece of your inner world. Naturally the choice of your subject is all yours. You could work realistic or abstract and everything in between. I prefer you to work with stone from Italy, processing according to traditional methods, thus using the hammer and chisel. Experience is not at all required.

All together it will be an exciting adventure, in which I really like to be your coach, using my professional experience as a sculptor.

At the end of the course we will organize an exhibition/presentation of and a review of the produced works.

Stone can be charged extra, seldom more than 30 or 40 euro a piece.
